我が家の近くの北野神社。

狛犬は、想像上の生き物。

心の中に生きる。

蛇口

In Japanese,　the Faucet is　called “Jyaguchi (蛇口)”

Literally 蛇口　is a Snake mouth.


The origin of the word "faucet" is derived from the fact that using a "snake" in the design of the (water faucet for public drinking fountains) shared plug tap the side of the road in the early modern Japan.

「蛇口」の語源は、日本の近代水道初期に道路わきの共用栓（公共水飲み場用の水栓）で「蛇」を
用いたことに由来する。1887年（明治20年）に横浜から日本の近代水道が始まったが、当時は
イギリスから輸入した共用栓にヨーロッパの水の神である「ライオンの頭部」（獅子頭）が採用されている。

日本製の共用栓を製作する時には「龍」を用いたが、その名称は空想上の動物である龍の元となった生き物としての「蛇」から「蛇体鉄柱式共用栓」と呼ばれた。やがて専用栓がつくられ、この共用栓の名称から「蛇口」と呼ばれるようになった。

そこは、元魚屋さんが営んでいるらしくて、

おつまみが、最高！
